The role of
Enterprise Europe
Network - Hellas
in supporting businesses

At a time when outward-looking approaches and internationalisation of businesses
is considered to be the key to competitiveness and growth, at EKT, we provide an
integrated set of services to support entrepreneurship, innovation and SMEs through
Enterprise Europe Network [EEN]. EEN is the largest network of integrated business
support in the world, consisting of 600 local organisations in 54 countries in Europe,
the Middle East, Asia and the USA, supporting more than 2,000,000 businesses
every year in the areas of international trade, technological collaboration and access
to funding.
In Greece, Enterprise Europe Network – Hellas is represented by 12 organisations from
all over the country, with EKT acting as co-ordinator. These organisations have years
of experience in providing for businesses and offers a whole range of support through
its ‘one-stop-shop’ for:
• Access to European funding programmes and tools
• Access to international markets and requests for business collaboration
• Transfer of technology and know-how
• New European Union policies and regulations
• Business plans for and management of innovation
• Intellectual property rights
• Organisation of events, information days, workshops and training seminars
Over the last 6 years, the Greek network has organised or taken part in events
of technology transfer and business missions, helping Greek businesses to conclude
more than 400 international collaboration agreements.
