5. The involvement of Greek regions
5.1. Proposals and projects by region
5.1.1. FP7-HEALTH calls
The 742 Greek applicants in FP7-HEALTH over the period 2007-2013 came from all regions of
Greece. The majority of the proposals came from ATTIKI (61,7%) followed by KENTRIKI
MAKEDONIA (14%) and KRITI (10,75%). More details are presented in Table 16.
KENTRIKI MAKEDONIA displays the highest success rate in FP7-HEALTH with 23,9% followed
by ATTIKI (21,7%) and KRITI (20%).
The majority of the participants in FP7-HEALTH projects with Greek participation were located in
ATTIKI (66%) followed by KRITI (13,4%) and KENTRIKI MAKEDONIA (10,6%). More details are
presented in Table 17.
The majority of the funds through FP7-HEALTH in the period 2007-2013 went to ATTIKI (30,5 Mio.
Euros) followed by KRITI (6,18 Mio. Euros) and KENTRIKI MAKEDONIA (4,91 Mio. Euros). More
details are presented in Chart 22.
Considering FP7-HEALTH EC Financial Contribution received (30,5 Mio Euros), ATTIKI is placed
in 46th position out of the 254 regions that participated in FP7-HEALTH. The top 10 regions in
FP7-HEALTH were Inner London (UK), Ile de France (FR), Zuid-Holland (NL), Oberbayern (DE),
Stockholm (SE), Lombardia (IT), Noord-Holland (NL), Hovestaden (DK, Kalrsruhe (DE), Cataluña
(ES).
