Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) calls
Only 3 Greek regions have received IMI funding over the period 2007-2013: ATTIKI, IPEIROS &
KENTRIKI MAKEDONIAS. As depicted in Table 5.1.1b ATTIKH has received 94,8 % the EC
contribution of IMI projects with Greek participation.

ATTIKI has received approx. 33 Mio Euros from Europe through its participation in 82 FP7-HEALTH
& IMI projects (99 participations) and an average amount by participation of ~ 340000 Euros. Over
20 Mio euros have gone to research organisations and almost 9 Mio Euros to academia. SMEs of
ATTIKI received 3,4 Mio Euros.
