3.4. Thematic fields of the Greek Projects
3.4.1. FP7-HEALTH calls
The participation of Greek Institutions in FP7-HEALTH proposals & projects during the period
2007-2013 was geared towards the thematic field of “Translating research for human health”, as
shown in Tables 13, 14 & 15 and Charts 18 & 19.
The top 10 funded call topics in Greece in decreasing order were: Health promotion; Cancer;
Detection, diagnosis & monitoring; Other chronic diseases; Cardiovascular diseases; Brain &
brain-related diseases; Large scale data gathering; HIV/AIDS, malaria & tuberculosis; Responding
to EU policy needs; Antimicrobial drug resistance.
